Midas Gold™ Au/Ag Graphene Reference Tonearm Cable

The Midas Tonearm Cable is an advanced Zavfino analogue cable developed specifically for the extremely delicate signal generated by high-performance moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. It combines a sophisticated hybrid Au/Ag Litz conductor architecture, precision materials, advanced shielding, and meticulous manufacturing to deliver exceptional signal integrity and musical resolution.

At the heart of the Midas is a precision Litz conductor construction combining 24-karat gold-plated OCC copper with 99.9998% pure silver conductors. Each individual strand is separately insulated before being formed into the finished conductor. This construction helps minimize interaction between strands while maintaining consistent electrical performance. The gold-plated OCC copper contributes tonal richness, harmonic body, and natural timbre, while the pure silver provides speed, transient precision, and fine-detail retrieval.

Each conductor undergoes Zavfino's proprietary Deep Cryo™ treatment before insulation. Following cryogenic processing, the conductors receive Ultra Sonic-7™ ultrasonic cleaning and high-voltage conditioning to remove microscopic drawing compounds, oils, and manufacturing residues and prepare the conductors for assembly.

The Midas utilizes carefully selected FEP and PTFE insulation materials around the conductors. A dedicated graphene-based layer is incorporated specifically for enhanced electrostatic discharge (ESD) control and electromagnetic interference (EMI) management, helping dissipate electrostatic energy and reduce unwanted electromagnetic effects.

Signal integrity is further protected by a comprehensive shielding system incorporating aluminum Mylar, a tight-pitch silver-coated copper braided shield, and a dedicated OCC ground conductor. This multi-layer construction provides effective EMI and RFI rejection while supporting the low-capacitance requirements of high-performance analogue playback.

Every Midas Tonearm Cable is hand assembled and precision terminated using Zavfino's premium connectors. DIN versions utilize the 1877 Carbon or TAD-3R tonearm connectors with high-purity copper contacts and PTFE  insulation, while RCA versions utilize custom built connectors for use with fine conductor with 24-karat gold-plated OCC copper contact assemblies.

The Midas delivers an open, detailed, and naturally refined presentation, combining the resolution and transient speed of pure silver with the tonal body and harmonic richness of gold-plated OCC copper. Its Litz architecture allows subtle musical information to emerge with precision while maintaining the natural character of the recording.
