The Coven T1 5N OFC Tonearm Cable is designed for the delicate transmission of low-level phono signals, combining high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors, effective shielding and gold-plated 1877 ZAV connectors. Its lightweight construction and dedicated ultrasonic cleaning process help preserve signal purity from tonearm to phono stage.

The Coven T1 Tonearm Cable is a high-quality 5N OFC copper tonearm cable developed for demanding turntable and tonearm applications. Positioned below the Spirit MKII in the Zavfino tonearm cable range, the Coven T1 uses the same carefully engineered construction and shielding architecture, while utilizing high-purity 5N OFC copper conductors to deliver a natural, balanced, and musically engaging presentation.

The Coven T1 is purpose-built specifically for analogue signal transmission rather than being adapted from a conventional audio cable. Its lightweight construction, tightly controlled conductor geometry, low capacitance, and carefully selected dielectric materials are designed to preserve the extremely low-level signal generated by the phono cartridge.

At its core, the Coven T1 uses 5N OFC copper conductors in a tightly controlled pitch construction. The carefully matched conductors provide consistent electrical characteristics and a stable signal path, while the controlled geometry helps maintain low capacitance and minimize unwanted interaction between the signal conductors.

The signal core is surrounded by the same advanced shielding architecture used in the Spirit MKII, incorporating an aluminum Mylar foil wrap combined with a fine-strand copper braided shield. This dual-layer shielding system provides effective rejection of EMI and RFI, helping protect the delicate cartridge signal from external interference while maintaining a quiet, clean signal path.

The Coven T1 combines the 5N OFC copper conductors with carefully selected PE and PTFE dielectric materials, providing electrical stability and mechanical control while maintaining the flexibility required for tonearm applications.

Sonically, the Coven T1 is designed to deliver a natural, smooth, and balanced presentation, preserving vocal character, instrumental texture, spatial information, and musical dynamics without imposing an artificial tonal signature. The 5N OFC copper construction provides an excellent foundation for both modern and vintage analogue systems.

Like all Zavfino cable products, the Coven T1 undergoes a dedicated ultrasonic cleaning process. During this process, the raw copper is passed through a specially treated water bath that removes dirt, drawing oils, particles, and surface impurities from the conductor. This meticulous preparation helps promote a clean conductor surface before assembly and contributes to a more settled initial sonic character.

The Coven T1 is available with DIN and SME connector options, along with Zavfino ZSP4 RCA connectors and a separate OFC ground wire for reliable grounding between the tonearm and phono stage. An abrasion-resistant outer sleeve provides additional mechanical protection while maintaining the flexibility required for proper tonearm installation.

Positioned below the Spirit MKII, the Coven T1 provides many of the same construction advantages while moving to a 5N OFC copper conductor design. The result is a refined and highly capable tonearm cable offering low noise, excellent signal integrity, natural tonal balance, and strong musical performance at a more accessible level within the Zavfino range.
