Prima MkII Audio Interconnect

The Prima MkII Audio Interconnect incorporates engineering principles developed for Zavfino's Prima MkII Speaker Cable and Power Cable, adapted specifically for low-level audio signal transmission. Designed to preserve signal integrity while minimizing external interference, it combines controlled conductor geometry with advanced insulation and shielding technologies for exceptional musical transparency and an extremely low noise floor.

At its heart is a unique hybrid conductor architecture. Each conductor features a solid silver-plated copper center conductor, individually insulated with precision PE (Polyethylene) and surrounded by multiple precision-bunched OCC (Pure Continuous Cast Copper) strands. This combines the high-frequency performance and stability of the central silver-plated conductor with the conductivity, flexibility, and current-carrying capability of the surrounding OCC copper, creating a balanced signal path across the audible frequency spectrum.

Before insulation, each conductor undergoes Zavfino's proprietary ultrasonic cleaning and thermal conditioning process, removing residual drawing oils, surface contaminants, and manufacturing impurities. Following conductor assembly, the completed signal core undergoes a second ultrasonic thermal conditioning process at higher voltage, further conditioning the conductors and helping reduce break-in time while maintaining consistently low noise.

The conditioned conductors are pressure-extruded with a premium 105°C PVC dielectric, encapsulating the conductor assembly for long-term electrical stability. A 50% overlap PTFE wrap provides additional dielectric isolation, while a pure cotton dielectric filler helps maintain precise conductor spacing and provides mechanical damping.

Signal integrity is further protected by a carefully engineered multi-layer shielding system consisting of a fine-strand copper braided shield, aluminum Mylar foil shield, and dedicated drain wire. This architecture is designed to provide strong rejection of EMI and RFI interference while maintaining low capacitance and preserving the natural dynamics and transparency of the audio signal.

The cable is finished with a durable PET monofilament outer braid, providing mechanical protection, flexibility, and a refined appearance. Each Prima MkII Audio Interconnect is terminated with Zavfino's precision-engineered audiophile-grade connectors for secure mechanical contact, low contact resistance, and long-term reliability.

The result is an interconnect designed to deliver clarity, tonal balance, dynamic expression, and a naturally detailed presentation while preserving the character of the connected components.
